Meet Your NEW Head Golf Professional: John Piekarz
John comes to Tara Greens from Metuchen G&CC where he has been teaching and running golf instructional programs at the club and at the PGA Village in Port Saint Lucie Florida in the winter months since 2004. He studied business and accounting at Seton Hall University. After working in the publishing and manufacturing industries he realized his true passion.
John started the JP Golf Academy in 2005 and has helped develop many scholarship golfers, two of the youngest men’s club champions in Metuchen G&CC history. Several of his players have gone on to become golf professionals in the New Jersey PGA Section as well playing on the PGA Latin American Tour and Canadian PGA Tour. In the spring and fall, John is instrumental in growing the game by visiting local elementary and middle schools through the ‘Golf in Schools Programs’ funded by the NJ Golf Foundation. He is also TPI Level 1 certified and firmly believes that by addressing your body imbalances you can achieve a better golf swing.
As the new Head Golf Professional at Tara Greens, John is tasked with bringing in new energy by developing fun golf learning experiences and activities for our Juniors, ladies and men including weekly golf leagues.
Please stay tuned for details on the various golf programs we will be starting very soon.
